Bricks in Libmanan

Walls made of antique bricks are silent witness of the deep and rich history of Libmanan. This picture was taken last November 2008 by Noel Hara, official photographer of the Prelature of Libmanan Social Communication Commission.

Libmanan became an ecclesiastical local territory as a Prelature in December 9, 1989. It comprises the whole first congressional district of Camarines Sur plus the municipality of Milaor of the second district.

After almost two decades, the prelature of Libmanan gets promoted into the rank of a diocese as declared by Pope Benedict XVI in March 25, 2009. The diocese now has 27 parishes.
